Why write articles if they are not going to be read.  All the wasted time and effort would’ve been put into better use elsewhere.  But article marketing has proven to be, and forever will be, a great source of targeted traffic and quality backlink, so it’s not wise to totally rule it out just because a few of your articles don’t get read.

Writing good articles, believe it or not, is not as hard as it seems.  Given a few guidelines, you’ll be putting out high quality articles that gets read over and over again.

  1. Right what you love.  Chances are you are pursuing a niche that you know a lot about.  If this is so, simply write from your heart.  You don’t need to be particular with strict structures (a bit would help though) and perfect grammar.  However, if you are not in a niche that you know a lot about, careful research is the key.  Look for good articles about the topic, read them, and write as you remember them and how you understood what you read.
  2. Use short paragraphs.  Written content on the net is read a lot differently than in a book or paper.  It’s a little tiring to read content in a screen than in paper.  That’s why articles with short paragraphs and lots of white spaces are more appealing.  This would get your article read more times than not.
  3. Use great headers.  The header sets up the whole article.  The header should be very compelling and naturally draws the readers into the content.  It also serves as a way for readers to find your articles through the keywords they type.

Keep these tips in mind and you’ll realize a major increase in your article readership in no time.
